Course
Description:
This one semester course
addresses key concepts in general political
theory and then encourages students to
use those basic constructions as a framework
for the comparison of several different
political systems. Understanding of the
general political concepts is deepened
through class discussion and reading of
current periodicals to provide students
the opportunity to apply their knowledge
to real world situations in real-time.
Students typically completes this course
in the senior year but may be take it
earlier with department permission.
Students in the Advanced
Placement section of the course will have
additional assignments in order to prepare
them for the AP Exam in Comparative Politics
